The Details

  • Start Time: 8:00am - some possible flexibility with start time for the right person
  • Schedule: 30 hours per week , 6 hours daily, Mon-Fri. Flexibility to work until 5:30pm from time to time is essential to ensure operational coverage during peak periods.

    • Redbank - warehouse office

    • 20-30 minute walk to public transport, shopping plaza, restaurants, gym
    • Cafe a close walking distance away from the office
  • Attire: Professional office attire, steel cap boots and a hi-vis vest for floor checks.


Key Responsibilities

As the Logistics Operations Administrator, you will manage the end-to-end life-cycle of national freight movements:

  • Inventory Control: Perform physical stock-on-hand checks to verify availability before finalising transport bookings.
  • Transport Planning: Create daily runs, allocate stock to specific vehicles, and secure third-party carrier bookings.
  • Carrier Coordination: Manage complex time-slot bookings with external carriers and Distribution Centers (DCs).
  • Multi-Modal Freight Management: Oversee rail and container bookings, including the coordination of on-forwarding freight via strategic partners.
  • Fleet Liaison: Act as the primary contact for drivers, managing re-routing and communicating real-time schedule changes.
  • Advanced Documentation: Prepare all essential transit paperwork - including delivery dockets, manifests, invoices and manage digital POD uploads.


About You

We are looking for an adaptable professional who understands the "premium delivery" standard.

  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience managing transport deadlines and the intricacies of national linehaul or LTL (Less Than Truckload) movements.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Excel skills are essential for tracking inbound/outbound runs and maintaining accurate freight movement data.
    • Familiarity with specialised inventory management systems is highly regarded. The main system used is Jaix, external 3PL / carrier portals and online platforms.
  • Operational Flexibility: A commitment to remaining on-site until the afternoon's dispatch operations are finalised.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
